Welcome to the Summurtime website. In this space I am going to try placing the names and dates that make up the Summers and Murray Family Trees (my spouse’s and mine) into a broader historical setting. In so doing, I hope to provide a little better perspective for the lives our ancestors lived.
When we are building a family tree, so much time is spent researching and documenting our ancestors, we often lose sight of the fact that those stacks of old records we dig up were originally attached to real people living real lives somewhere. By immersing our Ancestor’s lives in the history surrounding them we might be able to expose a bit of a backdrop for the lives our ancestors lived. Don’t look for a lot of added information about our ancestors though. The most we can hope for is a little better context for the pile of facts we have already documented in our family tree.
